CPHS Baseball: Matt Brown officially named Head Coach at Sand Springs

Matt Brown has been named interim head coach for the 2019-2020 season following the unexpeCted resignation of James garrison.

Matt Brown was officially announced as the Head Baseball Coach at Charles Page High School Friday. Brown has been acting as interim Head Coach since the resignation of James Garrison in September.

Brown came to Sand Springs as pitching coach in 2017, following Garrison from Edmond Memorial. He started his coaching career at Oklahoma Christian University before joining Garrison’s staff. Brown is a graduate of Stillwater High School. He played collegiate baseball at the University of Arkansas Little Rock and at Oklahoma Christian University.

The Sandites went 6-2 overall and 3-1 in district action under Brown before the season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. They will carry a five-game win streak into next season.
