Sandites crown eight champions at Broken Arrow youth tournament

23 athletes from the Keystone Kids wrestling club competed at the Broken Arrow youth tournament this past weekend. The Sandites were sixth in total pins, first in tech falls, third in match points, and fifth in team winning percentage. Eight individuals won their brackets.

Division 1

Colton Lambert placed third at 43 pounds with a 3-1 record and two pins.

Division 2

Maddox Pope won the 52-pound bracket with three wins.

Karson Waag placed second at 43 pounds with a 3-1 record and an 18-3 technical fall.

Wes Wilson placed third at 43 pounds with a 2-2 record and two pins. Bryson Pope placed third at 49 pounds with a 2-2 record.

Nash Denison placed fourth at 49 pounds with a 1-3 record. Zayden Anderson placed fourth at 55 pounds with a 1-2 record and a pin.

Division 3

Trace Barr won the 70-pound bracket with two pins and a 15-0 tech fall. Creek Shavney won the 73-pound bracket with a 3-0 record and two pins. Hunter Fields won the 80-pound bracket with a fall, a 15-0 tech fall, and an 11-1 major decision.

Samuel Moore was runner-up at 64 pounds with a 1-1 record. Mason Denison was second at 76 pounds with a 1-1 record and a pin.

Cooper Nicholas placed third at 110 with a 1-2 record and a major decision.

Joshua Compton placed fourth at 76 pounds with a 1-2 record and one pin.

Division 4

Jaxon Grigsby won the 64-pound bracket with one pin and three technical falls. Kaden Pope won the 70-pound bracket with a 3-0 record and two pins.

Matthew Moore was runner-up at 84 pounds with a 2-1 record and one pin.

Gage Gunn placed third at 84 pounds with a 1-2 record and a pin.

Division 5

Jesse Moore won the 113-pound bracket with a 2-0 record. Adrian Flores went 4-0 at 145 with two pins.
