CPHS Softball: Sabrina Usher signs with Rogers State University

Charles Page High School senior catcher Sabrina Usher signed a letter of intent Wednesday morning to play softball for Rogers State University.

Usher is a two-time Academic All-State, three-time All-District, All-Region, and All-State selection. She earned District Offensive Player of the Year for leading the Sandites to a 23-13 record and fifth-straight Regional Championship.

The team-leading hitter was .490 at the plate this year with a 1.07 slugging average and .586 on-base percentage. In her career, Usher accounted for 125 runs, 173 hits, 96 singles, 45 doubles, 6 triples, 25 home runs, 1 grand slam, 144 RBI, 5 sacrifices, 28 steals, and 5 double plays.

RSU is a public university in Claremore, Oklahoma competing at the NCAA Division 2 level in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association. The Hillcats went 33-23 last season under fifth-year head coach Andrea Vaughan.
