CPHS Track: Aden Baughman places second at Great Southwest Classic

Charles Page High School Class of 2019 graduate Aden Baughman recently competed at the 44th Annual Great Southwest Track and Field Classic in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The Air Force Academy-bound Sandite took second place in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:57.76.

Baughman was a two-time State Champion for Sand Springs with twenty first-place finishes in his high school track and field career and an 800-meter personal best of 1:53.16.

At the Southwest Classic Baughman took second place behind fellow Oklahoman Jack Vincent, a Claremore High School junior and fellow State Champion, who only won by 0.3 seconds.

The Oklahoma men took eighth place out of 15 states with a score of 44 points. Missouri won the event with 187.5 points and Texas was runner-up at 131.
